Centered in the heart of Uptown, our Friday night street ministry allows volunteers the opportunity to prepare and assemble dozens of our world famous Charlotte Mecklenburg Dream Center chili cheese dogs each week and distribute them to our neighbors living on the streets.
Street Ministry takes place in two waves. The first meets at The King’s Bakery at 6:30 p.m. for food assembly and prayer. The second arrives at 7:30 p.m. to begin distributing them. Food preparation volunteers are welcome to stay for distribution, but food prep volunteers are encouraged to reserve their spots using SignUp.com as positions are limited.
The vision of Street Ministry is to meet the physical needs of those afflicted by chronic homeless and build relationships that will allow for freedom, healing and an introduction to the radically transformative love of Christ.
